FieldWatch, Inc., the nonprofit company created to develop and expand use of the DriftWatch Specialty Crop Site Registry, is pleased to announce that New Mexico has been added as a member state and is now on the DriftWatch map. This brings the total number of states utilizing DriftWatch to 12, along with one Canadian province, Saskatchewan. The other states using DriftWatch are Colorado, Delaware, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska and Wisconsin.
FieldWatch, through the support of voluntary members, continues to enhance the DriftWatch website with helpful features for a growing number of producers and applicators. Currently, there are more than 3,800 producers registered, representing over 5,400 specialty fields and apiaries mapped and available to applicators. There are well over 600 applicators who are registered on DriftWatch to receive automatic notifications of new sites added. New enhancements include GPS positioning that identifies the location of the user's computer or tablet location on the map and downloadable data for applicators who join as voluntary members of FieldWatch.
