NIFA Webinars for Crop Protection and Pest Management Program
NIFA is hosting two webinars for interested applicants concerning the fiscal year 2017 Request for Applications for the Crop Protection and Pest Management Program. More information on this funding opportunity is on NIFA’s website. The webinars will be recorded for those that are unable to make these dates. The first webinar will address the program requirements and application procedures for the Extension Implementation Program Area (EIP). This webinar will be held on April 13 from 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern Time. ARDP Webinar: The second webinar will address the program requirements and application procedures for the Applied Research and Development Program Area (ARDP). This webinar will be held on April 13 from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. Eastern Time.
Crunchies Announces Launch of Online Traceability Platform
Crunchies Natural Food Company announced the launch of its online traceability platform, which allows consumers to learn about the region where the fruits or vegetables in their bag of Crunchies originated. In order to track where their Crunchies came from, customers can now visit their website. To begin, simply find the 5-digit Traceability Code printed at the bottom back of each Crunchies bag, type it into the online form and find out where that particular produce is from, how it was grown and what methods were used to source it.
Bane-Welker Equipment Adds Sentera Drones, Sensors and Software to Product Offering
Bane-Welker Equipment’s Precision Farming Department announced the addition of Sentera Drones, Sensors and Software to their current product offering. Aside from offering drones, sensors and software, the Bane-Welker Precision Farming Department has added a Sentera Omni drone to their toolbox. The Omni drone, (named AVI8R) is equipped with Sentera’s Double 4K sensor and will primarily be used for crop scouting, custom flights and demonstrations. It will be piloted by their FAA certified remote operator, David Fox.
