The Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) recognized its newest Permanent Business Partner, MOM’s Organic Market.
PASA created the Permanent Business Partner level of membership for businesses interested in establishing a long-term relationship with the organization. PASA’s commitment to protecting and preserving farmers and farmland across Pennsylvania and beyond is vital to each of its Permanent Business Partner’s business philosophies.
MOM’s is dedicated to sourcing as many products as they can near their store locations. For Maryland and Virginia stores, MOM’s defines local as products grown or created inside the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, or less than 200 miles from the store. For their Bryn Mawr, PA store, local products are grown or created inside the Delaware River Watershed, or less than 200 miles from the store.
“MOM’s and PASA passionately support sustainable agriculture. As we continue to expand into the Philadelphia region, we enthusiastically support PASA and are very excited to be a Permanent Business Partner,” said MOM’s founder, Scott Nash.
“PASA is impressed with MOM’s progressive approach to community engagement. By instituting best practices to reduce their impact on the environment, their ability to educate their staff and customers has had great influence over purchasing habits,” said Michele Spencer, Membership Director at PASA.
