Grand Rapids, Michigan, December 8-10
Known as the premier show for greenhouse, fruit and vegetable growers and farm marketers in the Midwest, the Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market Expo (in conjunction with the Michigan Greenhouse Growers Expo) will be held at the DeVos Place Conference Center and The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
More than 4,200 attendees from across the country and Canada attended last year and just as many are expected to attend in December. Nearly 450 exhibitors will occupy the trade show floor with a new area for farm market exhibitors.
The three-day event will offer more than 75 education sessions and workshops that will cover subjects such as fruit, vegetables, farm marketing, organic as well as farmers markets, and greenhouse topics.
After-hours events will include the popular “Meet the Buyers” reception on Tuesday, hosted by the Michigan Food and Farming Systems in partnership with the Michigan State University Product Center and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The reception is a chance for industry buyers to learn how to get their fresh produce into the value chain and onto the store shelves.
