The New York Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) announced a program sign-up for technical and financial assistance for agricultural producers in Orange County to implement Irrigation Water Management practices. The six counties are Dutchess, Putnam, Westchester, Ulster, Orange and Rockland. This special program focuses on practices that improve irrigation efficiency and the application deadline for this AMA funding is March 20.
All applications are competitive and are ranked based on national, state and locally identified resource priorities and the overall benefit to the environment. At the time of application, applicants must specify the resource concern(s) that they intend to address.
