Follow the Data

Agricultural Data Systems introduces its TraceBack traceability software as a stand-alone solution for growers to identify the source of their produce. It can be integrated with the company’s software or interfaced with existing ERP or enterprise systems.

Key features include unique identification numbers; fully integrated hand-held scanners to streamline data capture and eliminate manual data entry; multiple alternatives for clamshell product identification; flagging of growers who fail to provide required data; data stored online via FTP, accessible through the Internet; and automatic scheduling of grower audits to verify compliance.

Give Your Sprayer a Trigger Finger

The new ONE SHOT tree recognition system from Nelson Mfg. Co., Inc. can be installed to Nelson Hardie orchard sprayers to minimize spray drift and the resulting chemical ground deposits. The kit can be also installed on any orchard sprayer.

The kit includes two waterproof photoelectric eyes, one located on each side of the sprayer, that keep the spray valves in the “off” position until a tree is sensed, at which time a preset delay turns on the valve. The compact control modules are installed in a protective enclosure.

The kit includes two sensors, cables and control modules, as well as spray valves and module enclosures.

Stack ’em Up!

Green Meadow Produce introduces its line of stackable planters. Stackable planter systems are used to grow peppers, strawberries, lettuce and other small plants. Planters include potting mix, fertilizer and plants.

Get Productive!

PET Tiger Productivity Software from Orange Enterprises, Inc. collects and analyzes detailed employee data in the field, automating and simplifying compliance to labor law. It also streamlines and improves the accuracy of transferring employee records to payroll for companies nationwide.

The connectivity feature allows for complete and transparent communication between labor contractors and growers. Input can be made from any type of device that can create and send a file: fingerprint and hand readers, hand-held computers and batch device readers. PET Tiger can record data using bar codes, RFID or iButtons. The system creates its own bar codes and produces employee badges complete with photo.

The collected data can be exported to your accounting system or payroll service to print paychecks.
