US Agriseeds hot Peppers Perform Well in University Trials
The University of Illinois St. Charles Horticulture Research Center recently released observations of its 2008 Chile Pepper Trials. The results showed that US Agriseeds hot pepper varieties performed well. William H. Shoemaker, senior research specialist, food crops, conducted the trial in St. Charles, Ill. US Agriseeds varieties trialed were Jalapenos Talon, Valor, Tormenta and Mammoth, Serranos Optimo and Devil, and Anchos Masivo, Master and San Ardo.

Siegers Seed Announces Changes in Product Development
Siegers Seed Co. recently promoted Karl Sauter from purchasing manager to manager of product development and purchasing. Sauter has a bachelor’s degree in vegetable crop production from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in plant breeding from the University of Minnesota and a well-rounded knowledge of customer service, marketing and purchasing. For the last eight years Sauter has been an integral part of meeting the grower’s evolving needs.
Jamie Scholten is the primary product development associate and will continue, under Sauter’s leadership.
