NIFA Announces Availability of $17.7 Million to Train, Educate Next Generation of Farmers
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) announced the availability of $17.7 million in grant funding to help train and educate the next generation of agricultural producers through the Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program (BFRDP). Eligible applicants include collaborative state, tribal, local or regionally-based networks or partnerships of public or private entities such as state cooperative extension services, community-based organizations, colleges or universities; and other organizations providing services to beginning farmers and ranchers. Applications are due December 8.

Growers Supply Introduces New HydroCycle Vertical NFT System
Growers Supply has debuted the HydroCycle Vertical NFT System that allows customers to grow hydroponically in tight spaces. The systems are available in 10’ and 5’ lengths with the option of 24 4” Pro NFT channels or 20 6” Pro NFT channels.
